According to Кулеба: The Ukrainian government has approved a new monthly bonus of 20,000 hryvnias for workers on emergency repair teams who restore utility services damaged by shelling. This financial incentive will remain in effect until the end of the current heating season. Funding for this pilot project in 2026 is slated to come from the state budget's reserve fund. This move comes as the country continues to face significant challenges in maintaining critical infrastructure.

Eligibility for the New Payment

The additional payment is designated for:

• energy sector workers,
• housing and communal services personnel,
• railway employees,

who are directly involved in mitigating the aftermath of attacks. The first payments, covering work in January, will be issued in February via a simplified mechanism on the Diia government portal.

To compile a unified register of companies performing emergency restoration, businesses must submit online lists of their brigade members. Recipients will be notified of the payments through the Diia app or via SMS.

This government initiative represents a significant step in supporting personnel who risk their lives to rebuild national infrastructure. The bonuses are intended to boost the efficiency of repair crews and ensure the stability of essential utility services, which are critically important during winter months.
