Ukrainian Government to Supply Portable Power Stations for Children with Disabilities
Program Launch for Portable Power Stations
According to Пенсії (RSS): The Ukrainian government has announced a new initiative to provide portable power stations to children with disabilities in subgroup A, whose daily lives depend on electrical medical devices. This program aims to safeguard the health and daily comfort of these children, for whom a continuous power supply for critical equipment is essential. This support is particularly vital given the ongoing strain on Ukraine's energy infrastructure due to the war.
The following agencies will implement the program:
- Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity
- Pension Fund of Ukraine
- Ministry of Energy of Ukraine
- State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving
- Ukrposhta (the national postal service)
Funding for the program will come from Ukraine's Decarbonization Fund.
Significance of the Initiative
This measure represents a crucial step in improving the quality of life for children with disabilities who rely on powered medical equipment. Ensuring an uninterrupted electricity supply for this vulnerable group has become increasingly urgent amid frequent power disruptions.
