Ukraine Launches Nationwide Engineering Defenses for Critical Infrastructure

According to Міністерство інфраструктури: Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko chaired the fourth meeting of the Coordination Center for implementing comprehensive regional and city resilience plans. Participants reviewed the progress and funding for measures designed to protect critical infrastructure facilities. This initiative is part of a broader effort to shield essential services from ongoing threats.

Statement by Oleksii Kuleba

Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, emphasized that executing these resilience plans is a personal responsibility for all involved. He noted that several regions are already demonstrating a high pace of implementation, with the following areas standing out:

• Zaporizhzhia Oblast
• Kharkiv Oblast
• Kyiv Oblast Military Administration

Kuleba added that the Ministry of Development continues to collaborate with central government bodies, regional military administrations, and international partners to ensure the resilience of vital life-support systems. Engineering protection works are either already underway or set to begin across the country, signaling the government's active commitment to securing critical infrastructure. This work is crucial for maintaining essential services for the population during the conflict.
