Managing the Energy Recovery

According to Зеленський: In response to the ongoing emergency, the Ukrainian government has initiated daily operational briefings to manage the recovery of the nation's energy infrastructure. These daily meetings are a critical tool for boosting electricity imports and establishing effective communication channels with the business community. The briefings bring together all officials responsible for energy restoration and resource management.

Key energy and supply issues for cities and towns are discussed during these sessions. Participants include representatives from major regions such as:

  • Kyiv
  • Kharkiv
  • Dnipro
  • Kryvyi Rih
  • Zaporizhzhia
  • Sumy
  • Chernihiv

Each day, the government assigns specific tasks related to electricity imports and backup power supply, which are vital for maintaining grid stability. This effort is part of a broader strategy to mitigate the severe damage inflicted on Ukraine's power system by targeted attacks. Furthermore, support centers have been established in cities, with specific tasks delegated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Citizens can seek assistance by calling the emergency line 112. The briefings also cover matters like curfew regulations for businesses, and officials are actively engaging with retail networks. As one government official stated:

“I have instructed the Prime Minister of Ukraine, the First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy, and other officials to be highly proactive in communicating with the public and to provide maximum assistance to communities.”

Securing the Stability of the Energy System

These daily briefings represent a crucial step in safeguarding the stability of Ukraine's energy system amid current challenges. Continuous dialogue between the government, local communities, and the private sector is essential for rapidly addressing potential problems within the energy sector. In the context of war and energy crises, such measures are vital not only for restoring power resources but also for strengthening public trust in the state.
