The government established 30 scholarships in memory of fallen defenders: who will receive payments

Establishment of academic scholarships

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution to establish 30 academic scholarships in memory of the fallen defenders and defender of Ukraine. These scholarships will be paid to cadets, listeners, and adjuncts of military higher education institutions. Payments will be assigned based on the results of the academic year, highlighting the importance of achievements in education for the young generation of military personnel.

Amount of scholarships and purpose

The amount of the scholarship for cadets will be 4,000 hryvnias per month, while listeners and adjuncts will receive 10,000 hryvnias per month. These financial payments aim to encourage cadets and listeners to achieve high academic performance.

At the same time, the government recognized the documents regarding 28 scholarships named after the heroes of the Patriotic War and 2 scholarships named after P.S. Nakhimov as null and void. These changes are aimed at updating the scholarship system for military educational institutions, reflecting new realities and modern needs.

The introduction of new academic scholarships is part of the government’s strategy to support military educational institutions and prepare professional personnel for the army. This decision also indicates a desire to honor the memory of fallen defenders, which can enhance the patriotic spirit among young military personnel. At the same time, the cancellation of previous scholarships demonstrates the adaptation of state policy to modern challenges and needs in the field of education and defense.
