Ukraine's Recovery Financing Boost

According to Кабмін: The Ukrainian government has approved an additional UAH 1 billion for recovery projects. With this increase, nearly UAH 2 billion is expected to be allocated this year under the Ukraine Recovery Program, supported by the European Investment Bank. These funds are intended for critical and social infrastructure restoration across 16 regions.

Priority Spending Areas

Projects that are already implementation-ready or moving forward actively will receive priority. Funding will focus mainly on rebuilding:

  • schools and kindergartens,
  • hospitals and bomb shelters,
  • municipal utility networks,
  • housing.
Ukraine's Prime Minister, Serhiy Koretskyi, commented: 'This year, under the Ukraine Recovery Program, we will direct nearly UAH 2 billion, backed by the European Investment Bank.'

The decision highlights the government's commitment to rehabilitating infrastructure damaged by military hostilities. The involvement of the European Investment Bank reflects ongoing international support for Ukraine during this difficult period. By concentrating on concrete projects such as educational and medical facilities, the aim is to restore infrastructure and improve the quality of life for citizens.
