Yuriy Ribchinskiy shared touching memories of friendship with Igor Poklad

Farewell to the legendary composer Igor Poklad

According to glavcom.ua: Today, a farewell ceremony was held at the National Philharmonic for the outstanding composer Igor Poklad. Yuriy Ribchinskiy, his creative partner and co-author, attended the ceremony.

Yuriy Ribchinskiy recalled that they met in Kyiv in 1966 when Igor Poklad was a student at the conservatory, and he was at Shevchenko University. Their real creative collaboration began when they served in the Internal Troops Ensemble.

Igor Poklad passed away at the age of 84 after a long illness. He was the author of numerous popular songs, including 'Dva kryla', 'Tikhaya voda', and others. His contribution to musical culture was recognized with multiple state awards.

The cultural community honored the memory of the outstanding composer Igor Poklad during the farewell at the National Philharmonic. His creativity will forever remain in the hearts of fans and lovers of Ukrainian music.
