Ukrainian car owners face problems when buying according to the technical passport when the previous owner disappears. This situation also occurred with Kyiv resident Konstantin - the car was resold by third parties without the original owner's knowledge.
'Car owners can transfer their vehicles to others if they have the relevant documents' - explained lawyer Yuri Aivazyan.
According to legislation, drivers must have documents and insurance with them. In Konstantin's case, the new car owner has all the necessary documents to use the vehicle.
The owner of the car has the right to transfer it to another person by handing over the registration document. In case of the previous owner's disappearance, legal support can help resolve the conflict situation between the parties.
