Ukrainian Defense Forces Report Successful Strikes

According to ХВИЛЯ: On February 23, Ukraine's General Staff reported that its Defense Forces successfully targeted Russian military installations and logistical hubs in temporarily occupied territories. These operations resulted in the destruction of several key pieces of enemy military infrastructure. This comes as Ukraine continues its campaign to degrade Russian logistics and command capabilities deep behind the front lines.

Targets Destroyed

In Crimea, a concentration area for a missile division of Russia's 15th Separate Coastal Missile Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet was struck. This unit is equipped with Bastion coastal missile systems, indicating a systematic Ukrainian approach to eliminating high-value strategic targets.

  • In the Donetsk region, specifically near Nizhnya Krynka, an ammunition depot belonging to the 'South' troop grouping was destroyed.
  • A Russian army material and technical support depot was hit in the Velyka Novosilka area.
  • In the occupied part of the Mykolaiv region, near Pokrovka, a command post for an enemy airborne assault regiment's drone operations was struck.
'Target hits have been confirmed. Enemy losses and the final scale of the damage are being clarified,' the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.

General Staff representatives also emphasized that 'Ukraine's Defense Forces continue to systematically destroy the occupiers' military infrastructure, depriving them of the capability to conduct offensive operations.'

These strikes highlight Ukraine's active strategy of degrading enemy military infrastructure, which is crucial for the country's security and defense. Increasing pressure on logistical nodes and strategic objects could significantly impact Russian military capabilities in the region, particularly their ability to launch offensive operations. In the context of the ongoing conflict, such actions may prove decisive for the future course of hostilities.
