In Austria, the Embassy of Ukraine will hold consular receptions in 2026

Ukrainians living in regions of Austria far from Vienna will be able to use consular services without traveling to the capital. In 2026, the Embassy of Ukraine in Austria has planned on-site receptions of consular staff in six cities across the country. This is reported by VisitUkraine.

On-site consular receptions in Austria in 2026: schedule of cities

The format of on-site consular services has been used for several years to facilitate citizens living in federal states of Austria. In 2026, receptions are planned to be held throughout the year, and the preliminary schedule covers six cities.

Scheduled on-site receptions:

  • Salzburg — January and July

  • Linz — February and August

  • Graz — March and September

  • Klagenfurt — April and October

  • Innsbruck — May and November

  • Bregenz — June and December

The Embassy warns that dates and locations may change for organizational reasons. Updates regarding schedule adjustments will be provided additionally.

Consular services during on-site receptions in regions of Austria

During on-site receptions, a limited list of consular services that do not require contact with state authorities in Ukraine will be provided to Ukrainians. A final list of services will be published before each trip.

During the receptions, the following will generally be available:

  • to perform certain notarial acts based on previously prepared documents

  • to issue certificates for identification or confirmation of identity

  • to submit documents for a foreign passport for children under 12 years old

  • to collect ready personalized foreign passports

  • to receive consultations on consular-legal issues

Due to a limited number of places, pre-registration is planned. Citizens are advised to inform consuls about the purpose of their visit in advance and prepare a complete set of documents.
