Deadly Bus Crash in Egypt

According to УНІАН — Туризм: A bus traveling on the road between Dahab and Nuweiba in the southern part of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula crashed, killing 16 people and injuring 29 others, the Egyptian Ministry of Health reported. Dahab lies roughly 80 kilometers north of Sharm el-Sheikh. The wounded were initially taken to a local health center, and some were later moved to Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital, Saint Catherine Hospital, and Al-Fayrouz Hospital, according to Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, who heads Egypt's health authority.

The fatal accident comes after an earlier crash in Ismailia Governorate, where a pickup truck carrying workers overturned near the Al-Shabab power plant in the Al-Dawawis area. That incident took 15 lives and left 32 people injured.

Flash Flooding in Nepal

In a separate disaster, flash flooding in Nepal has left 55 Ukrainian citizens missing. Ukraine's Foreign Ministry said that among the missing are 47 Ukrainians in one tourist group and 7 in another, along with a Ukrainian woman traveling in an international group. Across Nepal's flood-affected zone, more than 400 residents and over 700 tourists from 30 countries have not been found, and at least 165 people are confirmed dead.

Both events underscore safety vulnerabilities in places with strong tourist flows and highlight how quickly road crashes or natural disasters can affect people from multiple countries. Improving infrastructure, traffic control, and emergency systems is essential to reducing such risks.
