In Odesa, the movement of two tram routes has been changed until August 12 due to repairs

In Odesa, trams No. 15 and No. 28 have been temporarily redirected. The restrictions are related to the major repair of the tracks at the intersection of Staropodporafrankivska and Taras Kuzmin streets and will be in effect until the planned work is completed on August 12. This is reported by the Odesa City Council.

How trams No. 15 and No. 28 will operate in Odesa until August 12

During the first stage of the repair, tram No. 15 will operate between Oleksiyivska Square and Slobidsky Market. The modified route is routed through Khersonskiy Square.

Tram route No. 28 has been temporarily shortened. The cars will transport passengers between Shevchenko Park and Tiraspol Square.

The temporary movement schemes look like this:

• No. 15: Oleksiyivska Square – Slobidsky Market via Khersonskiy Square;

• No. 28: Shevchenko Park – Tiraspol Square.

Passengers should take these changes into account when planning their trips, especially if their regular route passes through the intersection of Staropodporafrankivska and Taras Kuzmin.

What is being repaired on the tram tracks in Odesa

Utility services have started the first stage of the major repair of the tracks at the intersection of two streets. On this stretch, four tram crossings will be replaced, consisting of 16 frogs.

Such elements ensure the intersection of rail directions and directly affect the passage of trams through the node. The city council explained that the update is necessary for the reliable and safe operation of the tram infrastructure.

The planned stage of major repairs is expected to be completed by August 12. Until that time, routes No. 15 and No. 28 will operate according to temporary schemes.
