Green District Smart City: A $2 Billion Vision for Parramore

According to НВ — Техно: Orlando officials have received a master plan for Green District Smart City, a roughly $2 billion high-tech neighborhood proposed for the historic Parramore section of the city. Construction is expected to begin in summer 2027. The plan is part of a broader wave of U.S. urban projects integrating clean mobility and mixed-use development.

What the Master Plan Envisions

The proposed district is built around two Smart Hubs - multifunctional parking facilities with parking decks, shops, EV charging points, and connections to public transit. A separate building is planned for health and wellness services, emergency response, and air-transport support, while rooftops are slated to host vertiports for eVTOL air taxis.

The project also calls for:

• housing, with worker accommodations and more affordable options
• four hotels, three of which are historically significant: The Green Book Hotel, The Wells Hotel, and The Sadler Hotel
• a grocery store
• a conference center
• shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues
• a museum

Eve Air Mobility is the air-mobility partner, while i-charging USA is the technology partner for charging infrastructure and aircraft. The Atlanta-based architecture firm Cooper Carry is designing the project. Financing is expected to come from local and national investors, community organizations, and local support programs.
