December 24 in Ukraine is expected to bring wet snow and icy conditions: weather forecast

According to glavcom.ua: Today's weather forecast for December 24 in Ukraine promises cloudy weather with wet snow. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, moderate snow is expected in the Carpathians and Prykarpattia, while other regions of the country will have clouds with clearings. Light snow may fall at night in the western and northern regions.

Forecasters predict a northeast wind with speeds of 5-10 m/s, reaching 15-20 m/s in the Carpathians. The air temperature will vary from 3 to 8° below zero at night, and from 7 to 12° below zero on the northern and eastern coasts, during the day from 1 to 6° below zero; in Transcarpathia and the south, at night from 2° above zero to 3° below zero, during the day from 0 to 5° above zero.

Forecast for Kyiv region and Kyiv

Cloudy weather with clearings is expected in the capital and the region. Light snow may fall at night; no precipitation is predicted during the day. The wind will be blowing from the northeast at speeds of 5-10 m/s.

Regarding Celsius: at night, the region is expected to have temperatures from 7 to 12° below zero, during the day from 1 to 6° below zero. In Kyiv, the temperature range will be slightly wider – from 8 to 10° below zero at night and from 4 to 6° below zero during the day.

Real winter cold for the holidays

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Ukrainians will experience real winter cold with temperatures ranging from -9 to -12 degrees below zero at night and from -2 to -9 degrees below zero during the day. The atmosphere may change to an extremely winter-like one – with clearings and sunny rays.
