A very high jump in air temperature is expected in Ukraine – Didenko
Forecaster: next week will be hot
According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainians should prepare for a hot week that may end with anomalous readings on thermometers. According to forecaster Natalka Didenko, on July 14 the temperature will reach up to +34°C, and a week later there may be a jump to +40°C. This is reported by 'Glavkom' citing Natalka Didenko.
- In the southern part, eastern regions and most of the central regions during the day, the maximum air temperature will be +29...+34°C.
- In northern Ukraine, on July 14, the temperature will range from +27...+30°C.
- In the western regions, slightly cooler weather is forecasted – +25...+29°C.
On Monday, July 14, Ukraine expects hot or moderately hot weather. According to Didenko, dry weather will prevail on Monday. Only in the second half of the day or in the evening in the western regions, brief rains with thunderstorms are possible. The forecaster warns that during thunderstorms, there may be strong gusts of wind and locally hail.
Temperature will drop: forecast for next week
In Kyiv, no precipitation is expected on July 14, the maximum air temperature in the capital will reach +27...+29°C. Natalka Didenko reports that on Thursday-Friday, July 17-18, fresh air will break through to a significant part of Ukraine, although briefly. The temperature will drop to +18...+25°C, and in the south and east – to +26...+30°C.
'I do not want to scare you in advance, but at the beginning of the following week, approximately on Tuesday, July 22, according to preliminary forecasts, a very high jump in air temperature is expected in Ukraine, that is, above +35 and possibly up to +40 degrees and even slightly higher,' emphasizes the forecaster. Didenko stresses that this forecast is preliminary, as it concerns a relatively distant perspective. However, she urges to be ready for any serious meteorological events, especially in the current conditions.
