Changes in the driver's license issuance procedure in Ukraine

According to hvylya.net: Now Ukrainians who take the exam for obtaining a driver's license will have to undergo video recording during the exams. This innovation has been introduced in the new edition of Instruction No. 408, reports Mauto.

Additionally, each practical exam will be accompanied by technical control. The vehicles used for conducting the exam must have installed technical recording devices. For example, cars in category B require at least four cameras or other monitoring devices, while for other categories, this number may vary. The schemes for the placement of such devices are now clearly regulated in the appendix to the instruction.

After the first unsuccessful attempt to pass the practical exam, a retake is allowed no earlier than ten calendar days. In the case of unsuccessful second or third attempts, one will have to wait longer - twenty or thirty days respectively.

The changes have been introduced to increase transparency and discipline during the exams, as well as to prevent abuse by candidates and instructors. Video recording during the exams is set to become one of the main tools in the fight against corruption in the field of driver's license issuance.

Ukrainians attempting to obtain driver's licenses should be prepared for video recording and technical control during practical exams. These changes are aimed at improving the process of driver's license issuance and reducing opportunities for corruption in this area.
