Ukraine will be hit by rain and thunderstorms over the weekend: which regions are expecting gusts

Forecasters predict variable cloudiness and rain across Ukraine on Saturday, August 23. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, the rain will be moderate in the west, in the Zhytomyr, Kyiv, and Vinnytsia regions, while significant precipitation with thunderstorms is expected in the center, south, and southeast of the country. Some areas in the eastern and southeastern regions may experience hail and wind gusts up to 15-20 m/s.

The wind will mainly blow from the northwest, while in the eastern regions it will be from the southwest at a speed of 7-12 m/s. The temperature at night will be 9-14°C, during the day 17-22°C; in the southeast, at night 15-20°C, during the day 26-31°C.

In the Kyiv region and the city itself, variable cloudiness with light rain and possible thunderstorms is expected. The wind will be northwestern at a speed of 7-12 m/s. Temperature readings will be 9-14°C at night, 17-22°C during the day, in Kyiv at night 12-14°C, during the day 20-22°C.
