In Ukraine, 18 thousand businesses were opened in six months: which sectors lead

According to hvylya.net: Ukraine is showing stabilization in the area of opening new businesses. Over the course of six months, more than 18 thousand companies were registered, which is not different from the indicators of the previous year. Unfortunately, during the same period, the number of business closures increased by 19%, which is a record figure for the past five years.

Not everything is going smoothly with company closures: their number increased by 19% and over the year more than 6.6 thousand businesses closed. Nevertheless, the overall growth amounted to 11.6 thousand companies, which is the lowest figure in five years.

The leaders in the number of new companies are Kyiv, Lviv region, and Dnipropetrovsk region. However, these regions also have the highest number of business closures, with Kyiv leading.

Among the new companies, the highest charter capital is held by the Ukrainian-Italian Partnership Company VelAlliance. Wholesale trade, public organizations, real estate, IT, and agriculture are the most popular areas for new businesses. The IT sector shows the highest growth, increasing by 48% over the year.
