In Ukraine, a program for training women in energy starts: details
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has joined the launch of a training program for women wishing to study professions in the energy sector. This initiative is the result of cooperation with several organizations, such as Scatec, IFC, FMO, and Swedfund, and was officially announced at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome.
The Power Women program, initiated by the Norwegian company Scatec together with FMO, IFC, Swedfund, and EdEra, aims to provide women with opportunities to study various professions in the field of energy, particularly in renewable energy, as well as to support gender diversity in this sector.
The first cohort of the project plans to train 20 women who will have the opportunity to receive free education on solar energy issues for two months, as well as learn about professional opportunities in this field: from management and analytics to technical specialties.
The training program provides:
- online and offline training;
- paid internships for the most successful participants;
- leadership sessions and career consultations;
- support in job searching;
- a network of women in the energy sector.
The Ministry of Economy supports the launch of a training program for women in the energy sector aimed at promoting gender equality and expanding opportunities for women in this field.
