In Ukraine, the collection of alimony has significantly increased

According to hvylya.net: In the first half of 2025, state enforcement officers of the Ministry of Justice have already collected more than 7.6 billion hryvnias in alimony in Ukraine. This is 30% more than in the same period last year. From January to June 2024, the amount of alimony collected was 5.9 billion hryvnias, the Ministry of Justice reported.

Weekly alimony collections

In just one week from June 27 to July 4, state enforcement officers managed to collect over 728 thousand hryvnias in alimony and fines, many of which were collected through coercive measures.

In the Shumsk branch of the state enforcement service of Ternopil region, proceedings for the collection of alimony for the support of two children have been completed. The debt exceeded 273 thousand hryvnias, and an additional fine of over 148 thousand hryvnias for late payment was also incurred. After the arrest of funds, restrictions on the debtor's rights, and his inclusion in the Unified Register of Debtors, the entire amount was reimbursed. On June 27, the funds were transferred to the children's mother, and more than 29 thousand hryvnias of enforcement fees went to the budget.

A similar situation occurred in Kropyvnytskyi. The court ruled that the man must spend a quarter of his income monthly on the maintenance of his son. However, he evaded alimony payments, leading to a debt of over 205 thousand hryvnias. Additionally, he was charged a fine of over 101 thousand hryvnias. After the arrest of the debtor's accounts and property, on July 2, the entire amount was reimbursed to the enforcer.

In the first half of 2025, the total amount of alimony collected in Ukraine increased by 30% compared to the previous year. State enforcement officers continue to actively work on recovering debt amounts, demonstrating high rates of work in this direction.
