The minimum wage in Ukraine will be raised to UAH 8688: what will change for workers

Ukrainians can expect an increase in the minimum wage in 2026, according to the OBOZ.UA portal. The amount will be UAH 8688, but social payments will remain at the same level, which creates problems for workers. Eurostat shows that the minimum wage in Ukraine is one of the lowest in Europe, which may complicate the country's Euro-integration process. Analysts warn of a possible worsening of conditions for the poor if the gap between wages and prices continues to grow.

Entrepreneurs will also feel the consequences of the minimum wage increase, as they will have to raise expenses on social contributions and fines for violations of legislation. However, the main goal of the changes is to make life easier for workers and to increase the level of minimum wage in Ukraine.
