In Ukraine, more than 3.6 thousand couples got married in a week: where the most weddings took place

According to glavcom.ua: During the past week, more than 3600 weddings took place in Ukraine. The leader in the number of marriages was Kyiv with 834 couples. Dnipropetrovsk region came in second with 315 weddings, followed by Odesa, Lviv, and Kharkiv regions.

No data is available on the number of weddings in Luhansk region, Crimea, and Sevastopol. Interestingly, last week there were 924 fewer weddings than this week. The most couples chose Kyiv, Dnipro, and Lviv.

In total, throughout 2024, 150,210 marriages have been registered in Ukraine, which is 19% less than last year. The decrease compared to the beginning of the war is 30%. As for marriage contracts, more than 2,700 have been concluded. This is 7% more than in 2023, but less than before the war.

The report on the number of weddings in different regions of Ukraine over the past week indicates certain trends in Ukrainian society and the popularity of various regions among young couples.
