A hotline number 2598 has been launched in Ukraine for job search in the EU: calls are free
In Ukraine, as of September 8, a free hotline number 2598 has been launched for people looking for work in EU countries. Consultants help to find job vacancies, learn about salaries, working hours, living conditions, and document requirements. In 2026, the highest employment of Ukrainians in the EU is mainly observed in Central and Eastern European countries. This is reported by Visit Ukraine.
Who can call the number 2598 for job search
The short number can be used by adults who are in Ukraine and are calling from a Ukrainian mobile operator number. Calls are free for subscribers of national GSM operators, and consultations are conducted in Ukrainian.
The hotline operates without weekends. Applications are processed in the order of their receipt, so during a high volume of inquiries, connecting with a consultant may take longer.
Important clarification: 2598 is not a government hotline. It is a private social initiative supported by a company registered in Estonia, Workium OÜ. Therefore, its offers and employer checks should not be perceived as a government guarantee of employment.
During the conversation, the consultant asks about the candidate's experience, desired country and profession, expected salary level, need for housing, and approximate departure date. After that, among available vacancies, they select options that meet the stated criteria.
The candidate may be informed about the city and country of work, responsibilities, schedule and duration of shifts, salary, language proficiency requirements, and experience. It is also possible to clarify the cost of housing, organization of transport to the enterprise, the list of documents, and the possible start date of work.
One of the main directions remains Poland. In 2026, employment opportunities there significantly vary by region: earlier Inkorr identified Polish cities with the highest number of vacancies.
What jobs in the EU are offered through the hotline 2598
The most vacancies through the service are usually offered in Poland. Options are also available in the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Lithuania, and other EU countries. The list is constantly changing depending on the needs of employers.
Among the main directions are jobs in warehouses, enterprises, factories, logistics centers, and the food industry. For some vacancies, prior experience or knowledge of a foreign language is not required. For qualified positions, employers set specific requirements.
If the candidate chooses a vacancy, their data is sent to the employer. After confirmation of the application, the person is informed about the arrival date, address, and further steps. The call to 2598 does not guarantee getting a job.
Workium states that it checks employers’ registration data, salaries, schedules, living conditions, and possible additional expenses. However, candidates are advised to independently verify the employer and carefully read the employment contract before signing.
The help of the service is free. Depending on the vacancy, the worker may need to pay for travel, food, or housing. All such expenses must be clarified before departure and documented.
It is not possible to call the short number 2598 directly from abroad. A person can leave a number for a return call on the service's website or contact through Viber or Telegram.
At the same time, before departure, it is necessary to individually check the current rules for legal employment in a specific country. For example, in Poland in 2026, the procedures for employing foreigners changed, so having a vacancy itself does not replace the necessary documents.
