Pensions in Ukraine to be increased through indexation: what it means for payments

According to hvylya.net: The Cabinet approved a bill on pension indexation. This initiative provides for annual increases in pensions in Ukraine through the mechanism of indexation. This was announced by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

It is noted that the bill provides for the unification of the procedure for increasing pensions for all categories of pensioners. This will help avoid a situation where the amount of the pension depends on changes in wages and other income.

The document also foresees improvements to the pension recalculation system to make it more understandable and effective for servicemen who are currently on duty and participating in military actions, as well as for those who plan to complete their service in the future.

In addition, the new bill regulates the minimum pension amount after taking into account debts under court rulings, notarial executive inscriptions, and other official decisions. According to the new rules, the final pension amount after deductions cannot be less than the established subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work.

Updated information has been provided that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the bill on pension indexation. This means that all pensioners in the country will have the opportunity to receive regular pension increases and a system that will make the process of determining the amount of payments more transparent and unified.
