A house in Uzhhorod caught fire after being struck by lightning (video)

This evening in the Tabla neighborhood of Uzhhorod, during a storm, lightning struck a wooden house - less than a minute after the strike, the building caught fire. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to journalist Vitaly Hlahola.

«Several local residents claim they witnessed the moment lightning struck - it was at that same minute that the roof of the house ignited. According to eyewitnesses, the fire started almost immediately after the strike,» the report states.

At the same time, it is not ruled out that the fire could have also been caused by damage to the electrical wiring due to the lightning.

It is reported that two rescue teams from the State Emergency Service arrived at the scene and quickly began extinguishing the fire. The homeowner was not inside during the incident - he was outside Uzhhorod.
