Uzhhorod School Purchased a Premium Piano for 2.1 Million UAH: How the Procurement Process Took Place

According to glavcom.ua: The Uzhhorod Music School has purchased a piano worth 2.10 million UAH excluding VAT. The original order was placed with individual entrepreneur Oleksandr Chaikovskyi through the 'Prozorro' system, as reported by the publication 'Hromadske'.

The new piano for the school is a black acoustic piano C. Bechstein Academy A 208, which will be installed by December 10, 2025. This premium-class musical instrument is known for its high sound quality and wide usage in various musical institutions. Moreover, the price for this piano in Ukraine is significantly lower than in many other countries around the world.

The funds for purchasing the musical instrument were allocated from the state budget to ensure specialized art education in music schools. This piano will be used for professional play and training of children in music institutions.

It is important to note that individual entrepreneur Oleksandr Chaikovskyi received the order without competition due to a lack of other interest in participating in the tender. He presented a guarantee letter from the official representative of C. Bechstein in Ukraine, which allowed him to participate in the bidding.

In the absence of competition, the music school emphasizes its orchestral capabilities and trust in future scholarly relationships with the performer.
