According to РБК-Україна — Lite: Actor Vyacheslav Kostikov has revealed he is no longer speaking to his aunt, Olga Sumska, following a misunderstanding sparked by one of his interviews. The rift in the Sumska family also involves Olga's daughter, Antonina Paperna, who chose to stay and work in Russia after the full-scale war began.

Kostikov confirmed that communication with Sumska has completely stopped. Although they crossed paths after the war started, the trouble began with media headlines that came out after a previous interview he gave.

“Yes, after the first interview. She saw the headline. Naturally, she didn't like it. But I'm not responsible for the headline-only for what I actually said. And I didn't say anything bad,”

Kostikov explained. He also expressed regret that family relationships have suffered due to a lack of open conversation.

“It's a shame. I believe everyone should talk and find common ground. But sometimes it's so hard to just sit down and have a real conversation,”

he added.

Antonina Paperna and her life in Russia

As for Antonina Paperna, she moved to Russia before 2022, where she married Russian actor Vladimir Yaglych. The couple has two children, and after the full-scale war broke out, Paperna continued working in Moscow. Notably, she has not made any public statements regarding Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
