VAKS seized the car of the ex-official's family worth 5.3 million UAH: details of the case

On November 21, 2025, the panel of judges of VAKS partially granted the lawsuit of the SAP prosecutor regarding the recognition of the assets used by the family of the former head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Odesa region as unjustified.

The questioned assets include the cars 'Toyota Land Cruiser 200' and 'Audi RSQ8', purchased at a significantly lower price than their market value, as well as a new car 'BMW X7 xDrive'.

Court ruling and next steps

After hearing the arguments of the parties, the court supported the position of the SAP prosecutor and partially satisfied the claim, seizing the 'Toyota Land Cruiser 200' and part of the value of the 'Audi' car amounting to 2.8 million UAH for the state revenue.

The court's decision can be appealed within 30 days from the moment of drafting its full text. The lawsuit was filed based on materials from the State Bureau of Investigation and the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NABU).

As a result of the consideration of the lawsuit of the SAP prosecutor, the court recognized part of the assets of the former head of the SFS in Odesa region as unjustifiably acquired, indicating violations in the acquisition process and the value of the specified vehicles.
