The State Audit Office has initiated a large-scale audit of defense enterprises and procurements
According to glavcom.ua: Today marks the kickoff of a large-scale audit of Ukraine's defense industry. The State Audit Office announced an inspection of key enterprises in the defense-industrial complex, including armored vehicle plants and aviation enterprises. Additionally, two Ministry of Defense enterprises involved in army procurement will come under the auditors' scrutiny.
In total, 86 business entities in the defense-industrial complex will be audited and reviewed over the next year and a half. About 500 employees of the State Audit Office have taken on the task of conducting state control in the defense sector, with leadership emphasizing that detailed audits require time and attention.
Moreover, the government has instructed the State Audit Office to provide weekly reports on audits in the defense sector and to inform law enforcement agencies about the results. An audit of 'Energoatom' is also underway at ten company branches, and special powers have been granted to control fund expenditures under the Ukraine Facility program.
