The United Kingdom discusses a new scheme for supplying Patriot missiles to Ukraine
According to hvylya.net: The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, expressed readiness to engage in the initiative for supplying American military systems to Ukraine. This initiative involves the possibility of purchasing arms from the USA and transferring them to the Ukrainian army, particularly to enhance the effectiveness of air defense.
According to Keir Starmer: 'We are working with allies to provide capabilities, as well as support, to ensure the effectiveness of any capabilities in Ukraine.'
According to Bloomberg, negotiations between the United Kingdom, the USA, and some European countries are in the initial discussion stages. A similar agreement is also being considered by Germany with the United States. Earlier, Donald Trump suggested that European countries procure Patriot missiles from the USA and transfer them to the Ukrainian military.
Signing of a Mutual Defense Agreement
During a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Keir Starmer and Friedrich Merz signed a mutual defense agreement. Thus, the United Kingdom supports the initiative for supplying arms to Ukraine and may be part of it.
Ukraine can count on support regarding arms supply from the United Kingdom, which has expressed readiness to participate in the initiative alongside other countries.
