Bill No. 13705-d for pensioners

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has approved bill No. 13705-d, aimed at simplifying the procedure for confirming work experience for citizens who have lost documents due to the war or do not have data in the registers before 2000. This step is directed at restoring social justice for pensioners who face difficulties in confirming their work achievements.

According to the data, almost 30% of Ukrainian pensioners receive a pension of 3-4 thousand hryvnias, while the average pension in Ukraine barely exceeds 6400 hryvnias. The Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) currently does not have digitized data for periods of work before 2000, which creates additional difficulties for people seeking to confirm their work experience.

There is an active role of the Pension Fund in this matter, as well as the necessity to ensure access to the registers. The bill proposes the possibility of considering work experience with debts, which could also positively affect the financial situation of pensioners. Additionally, the return of the work book status is planned, which will be an important step for those who find themselves in difficult life situations.

Impact of the approval of the bill

Thus, the approval of bill No. 13705-d can significantly improve the situation of Ukrainian pensioners who have faced difficulties due to the loss of documents and ensure them proper social guarantees. By simplifying the procedure for confirming work experience, the government is trying to mitigate the negative consequences of the war for the most vulnerable segments of the population, which emphasizes the importance of social policy in crisis situations.
