The Supreme Court clarified the conditions for payments to military personnel with disabilities: what has changed
According to glavcom.ua: The Supreme Court resolved a contentious case regarding one-time monetary assistance for military personnel. According to the court's ruling, the right to this assistance belongs only to military personnel whose disability is related to the performance of military service duties. The disability that leads to the receipt of monetary assistance must be directly linked to military duty or the defense of the country.
In the case under review, the military personnel was assigned a disability due to domestic reasons before the onset of the full-scale war. However, later, when he was injured at the front, he was reassigned a disability, this time related to the defense of Ukraine. The court ruled that only disabilities incurred as a result of performing military duties grant the right to receive one-time monetary assistance.
The Parliament also voted for a bill regarding financial support for Ukrainian soldiers who were released from Russian captivity. This law provides for additional support for these soldiers, and its passage in the first reading indicates support and care for the defenders of Ukraine.
