Procedure for Interaction between the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the Pension Fund

According to Пенсії (RSS): The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the Pension Fund of Ukraine have approved the Procedure for interaction between regional offices of the Pension Fund and specialists supporting war veterans and demobilized individuals. The documents regulating this interaction have been registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. According to the order of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs dated June 30, 2026, No. 831 and the resolution of the Pension Fund's board dated June 30, 2026, No. 26-1, the new Procedure defines the algorithm for comprehensive support for veterans, families of the fallen, missing persons, demobilized individuals, and other categories.

The Procedure aims to enhance the support for veterans, female veterans, and their families. Support specialists will conduct informational and consultative work, ensuring organizational support and directing citizens to regional offices of the Pension Fund. At the same time, employees of the regional offices of the Pension Fund will inform about the necessary documents, deadlines for reviewing applications, and provide consultations on state support.

Support Categories

The support categories defined in the new Procedure include:

• veterans and female veterans;
• military personnel;
• police officers;
• rescuers undergoing treatment and rehabilitation without combatant status;
• individuals who have become disabled due to the war;
• people with special merits;
• participants of the Revolution of Dignity who suffered;
• military personnel who were captured;
• family members of the above-mentioned individuals;
• families of fallen soldiers;
• family members of missing persons;
• other demobilized individuals.

The main goal of introducing the new Procedure is to make assistance for the mentioned categories of people barrier-free, faster, and clearer. The responsibilities of support specialists include conducting informational and consultative work regarding pensions and social payments, as well as ensuring organizational support. Employees of the Pension Fund, in turn, will be responsible for information about the list of documents and their review deadlines, as well as providing consultations on state support.
