One-Time Cash Assistance Disbursement

According to Пенсії (RSS): Ukraine has a tradition of issuing special cash awards to veterans and Nazi persecution victims ahead of Independence Day. The Pension Fund of Ukraine has announced the rollout of one-time monetary support timed to the country's Independence Day, as authorized by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1396 of December 27, 2023. In 2026, retirees, subsidy recipients, and benefit holders qualified for this payment received it alongside their standard payouts. For active-duty servicemen, funds were sent to their duty stations in line with submitted requests.

As of August 25, 2026, the Fund has disbursed 1.6 billion hryvnias to 1,463,000 war veterans and victims of Nazi persecution. Those entitled to this aid who are not pensioners, do not receive subsidies or benefits, and are not in military service can submit a claim to their local Pension Fund office.

Veterans Get More Time to Claim Payments

Anyone who gained veteran status prior to August 24 and holds the corresponding certificate but has yet to receive the payout may submit an application to the Fund's office by November 1 of this year. Claims can also be filed online, streamlining the process.

The one-time Independence Day payout stands as a key social measure, providing support to those who served in the military and to individuals who endured Nazi persecution.
