Labor veterans in 2025: who will receive a 200% pension increase

In 2025, labor veterans in Ukraine will receive pension increases, in particular, those entitled to an additional 200% of the minimum retirement pension include Heroes of Socialist Labor, Heroes of Ukraine, and full holders of the Order of Labor Glory. In Ukraine, labor veterans are a special category of citizens of retirement age who have certain privileges and benefits.

Criteria for obtaining the status of a labor veteran

Several categories of citizens can apply for the title of labor veteran. Men with a total work experience of 40 years and women with an experience of 35 years automatically receive the status of labor veteran. For employees who worked in particularly hazardous industries, the veteran status is granted provided that:

• 30 years of experience for men;
• 25 years of experience for women.

Employees of enterprises included in List No. 2 are entitled to the status if they have:

• 35 years of experience for men;
• 30 years of experience for women.

Additionally, individuals with disabilities of the I or II group can obtain the labor veteran status with a minimum experience of 15 years.

Financial benefits for selected labor veterans include the mentioned increase of 200% of the minimum retirement pension, which applies to Heroes of Socialist Labor, Heroes of Ukraine, and full holders of the Order of Labor Glory. These payments are aimed at supporting labor veterans who have made significant contributions to the development of the country.

In addition to financial privileges, labor veterans are entitled to free medical care, sanatorium treatment, and annual free medical examinations. This helps ensure their health and well-being. Labor veterans also have advantages in obtaining housing, land plots, and housing loans, allowing them to improve their living conditions.
