According to Главком: A nighttime explosion in Lviv, now classified as a terrorist act, occurred at 00:30 on Danylyshyna Street. The blast killed a 23-year-old police officer and damaged a patrol vehicle as well as a civilian car. According to law enforcement, criminal proceedings have been initiated under the article for a terrorist act causing grave consequences. The pre-trial investigation has been assigned to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the Lviv region. These attacks come amid heightened security concerns across Ukraine following Russia's full-scale invasion.
Separately, on February 16, a car explosion in the Kyivskyi district of Odesa was also classified as a terrorist act. The explosion was recorded at 07:49 near a residential building on Akademika Korolova Street. The driver of the vehicle was injured and hospitalized. The incidents in these two major cities, occurring within hours of each other, have caused significant alarm among local residents and authorities.
