According to Главком: An explosion detonated inside a police station in the city of Dnipro on February 23 at approximately 8:50 PM. The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the incident as a terrorist act. The blast was caused by an improvised explosive device. While there were no reported casualties, the explosion inflicted significant material damage. This attack occurs amid a series of similar incidents targeting Ukrainian cities.

The shockwave damaged the administrative building, shattered windows, and wrecked a vehicle. The explosion occurred in the Amur-Nyzhnodniprovskyi district of Dnipro. Investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the region have opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 258 of Ukraine's Criminal Code, which pertains to terrorist acts.

Similar Attacks Reported in Other Ukrainian Cities

This event follows a pattern of recent explosions in the cities of Mykolaiv and Lviv. In Mykolaiv, a blast at a disused gas station injured patrol police officers, prompting the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office to also initiate a pre-trial investigation for terrorism. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has received initial briefings from law enforcement regarding the Mykolaiv attack.

In Lviv, a series of nighttime explosions, also classified as a terrorist act, proved deadly. A 23-year-old policewoman was killed, and the number of injured exceeded twenty people. As of the time of publication, 12 victims of the February 22 terror attack remain hospitalized in Lviv, with three in serious condition in the intensive care unit.

These coordinated attacks have heightened public anxiety and underscored the urgent need for enhanced security measures across the country. Law enforcement agencies are continuing their investigations to identify all circumstances and individuals involved in these violent acts. Given the recent incidents, it is critical for local authorities and police to implement effective steps to prevent future attacks and ensure public safety.
