The Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the incident as a terrorist act. The blast was caused by an improvised explosive device. While there were no reported casualties, the explosion inflicted significant material damage. This attack occurs amid a series of similar incidents targeting Ukrainian cities.

The shockwave damaged the administrative building, shattered windows, and wrecked a vehicle. The explosion occurred in the Amur-Nyzhnodniprovskyi district of Dnipro. Investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in the region have opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 258 of Ukraine's Criminal Code, which pertains to terrorist acts.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has received initial briefings from law enforcement regarding the Mykolaiv attack.

In Lviv, a series of nighttime explosions, also classified as a terrorist act, proved deadly. A 23-year-old policewoman was killed, and the number of injured exceeded twenty people. As of the time of publication, 12 victims of the February 22 terror attack remain hospitalized in Lviv, with three in serious condition in the intensive care unit.
