Ukraine and EBRD: what millions will be allocated for the recovery of the country
Meeting of the Vice Prime Minister with the President of the EBRD
Oлексій Кулеба, Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine - Minister for Communities and Territories Development, met with Odił Reno-Basso, the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Also present at the meeting were First Deputy Minister Alyona Shkrum and deputies Maryna Denysiuk and Yevhen Dubohryz.
'We continue to cooperate with the EBRD in areas that are very important for Ukraine - transport, energy, management of state enterprises. In particular, great emphasis has been placed on the heating season issues, especially in border areas. We also discussed the possibility of attracting additional resources,' said Oleksiy Kuleba during the meeting.
Supporting Ukrzaliznytsia, the Vice Prime Minister thanked for signing a contract for the supply of 55 electric locomotives as part of a joint project with the EBRD and the World Bank. This is an important step in the difficult conditions of wartime. We also discussed the possibility of financing for the company's activities.
'We dedicated special attention to the port of Chornomorsk. We are in the final stage of preparing the competition for the First and Container terminals. This is very important for the development of public-private partnerships in the port sector,' added the Vice Prime Minister.
The Ukrainian side expressed gratitude to the EBRD for trust, stability in partnership, and readiness to support the country in all trials.

During the meeting, Vice Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba discussed with President Odił Reno-Basso key areas of cooperation and emphasized the importance of support in difficult conditions. The issues discussed concerned energy, transport, the terminals of the port of Chornomorsk, and financing important projects for Ukraine.
