Vance is leading the U.S. delegation, which also includes his wife Usha Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and U.S. Ambassador to Italy Tilman Fertitta. Ukraine's Representatives

During the Parade of Nations, Ukraine was represented by flag bearers Yelyzaveta Sydiorko and Vladyslav Heraskevych. The 21-year-old short track speed skater, Yelyzaveta, carried the Ukrainian flag at the San Siro stadium in Milan. She remarked:

“I didn't think I would be the one entrusted with carrying the flag. In Ukraine, there are many more famous athletes, but I am sure my father is proud of me – both for being here and for representing the country.” – Yelyzaveta Sydiorko
