Ukraine and Moldova agreed on the protection of the Dniester: key decisions of the commission

According to Мін. Економіки: The sixth meeting of the Ukrainian-Moldovan Dniester Commission took place in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. Representatives of Ukrainian institutions, organizations, and the Embassy of Ukraine in Moldova attended the event. The agenda included issues of Dniester protection, data exchange, and ecosystem preservation.
Key issues discussed at the meeting:
- implementation of agreements on joint use and protection of water;
- implementation of river basin management plans and flood risk management;
- progress of the cooperative development project and management of water resources in the Dniester basin;
- operation of reservoirs and monitoring;
- public initiatives and projects in the field of environmental protection.
Special attention was paid to the issues of Ukraine and Moldova's Euro-integration, which is an important area of the Commission's work.
