The draw for the qualifying round of the Ukrainian Cup in football has taken place
On Thursday, July 18, the draw for the qualifying round of the Ukrainian Cup took place at the House of Football. In the 2025/2026 season, a record number of teams - 68 - are participating, given the length of the full-scale invasion. The competition will involve representatives from all levels of Ukrainian football - from elite clubs to regional ones.
Participants in the tournament include:
- 16 teams from the VBET Ukrainian Premier League;
- 32 teams from the Professional Football League (16 from the first league, 16 from the second league);
- 4 teams from the Amateur Football Association of Ukraine;
- 16 teams from regional football associations.
16 teams from regional competitions will participate in the qualifying round. Eight winners will advance to the Round of 32. In case of a draw at the end of regular time, the winner will be determined by a penalty shootout - without extra time.

The base dates for matches in the qualifying round are August 9-10, 2025.
Round of 32
According to glavcom.ua: The competition at this stage will involve:
- 8 winners from the qualifying round;
- 32 teams from the PFL (16 from the first and second leagues each);
- 4 representatives from the AAFU: 'Ahrotekh' (Tishkovka, Kirovohrad region), 'Dengoff' (Denikhivka, Kyiv region), 'Kormil' (Yavoriv, Lviv region), 'Mayak' (Sarny, Rivne region);
- 12 teams from the Ukrainian Premier League.
The base dates for matches in the Round of 32 are August 23-24, 2025. Let us remind you, 'Shakhtar' has advanced to the second round of qualification for the Europa League. The results of the draw and the conditions for team participation in the Ukrainian Cup for the next season have been announced. It is known that the number of participants is a record, and the tournaments will cover a wide range of teams from different levels of Ukrainian football.
