According to glavcom.ua: The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on the independence of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. 331 people's deputies voted for this document, and there were no votes against it. The law provides for polygraph checks for law enforcement officers who have access to state secrets.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the importance of partnership with elected Polish President Karol Nawrocki during a phone call. Zelensky expressed gratitude to Poland for its support in the context of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
Attack by Russian troops in Kyiv
Last night, a mass attack by Russian troops occurred in Kyiv, resulting in 15 deaths and 145 injuries, including 14 children. Emergency services continue rescue operations at the scene.
Improving conditions for servicemen
President Zelensky announced an increase in leave for Ukrainian servicemen – they will now receive an additional 15 days per year. In the event of martial law being introduced, they will be entitled to 30 days annually. Unused leave days cannot be carried over to the next year.
Attack on a house in Kramatorsk
As a result of the attack by the terrorist Russian army on a residential building in Kramatorsk, one person was killed, and another 11 were injured. Half of the house was destroyed during the shelling, and one injured person is in critical condition.
The Parliament of Ukraine voted for the law on the independence of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, the government is also acting to improve conditions for the military, while Russian attacks on civilians continue.
