Famous saxophonist Andrii Barmalii has joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine: new photo in uniform

In just a few hours, the saxophonist's photo garnered thousands of likes. Some of these were given by representatives of the Ukrainian show business, including singers Kola, Dorofeeva, director Alan Badoev, stand-up comedian Anton Timoshenko, singer Wellboy, Vlad Darwin, and others.
Ukrainian musician, saxophonist, and composer Andrii Barmalii (real surname - Martynenko) has published a new selfie on social media. The young artist, often referred to as the 'saxophone genius' in the creative community, posed in military uniform. This was reported by 'Glavkom' with reference to the musician's Instagram.
Andrii Barmalii is known for his experimental music and performances that combine jazz, electronic music, rock, and hip-hop. His style is described as sensual electronic-expressive music, where technology intertwines with live emotion.
In 2023, the artist presented his debut album autoportrack and the music video 'I am fine.' Later, he produced a large immersive act 'To Lia,' which united almost two dozen compositions and several dozen artists on stage. The musician has performed at many international festivals, presenting his own experimental programs. Andrii Barmalii has also actively collaborated with Ukrainian artists and collectives. At 17, he performed with Ziferblat (the representatives from Ukraine at Eurovision-2025), and had projects with Hyphen Dash, CHUBAREENE, 'Tonka', Otoy, and others. Together with Stas Korolyov, the mobilized saxophonist recorded the track 'Air Alarm.'
