According to Рубрика — Суспільство: In a remarkable display of precision and pride, soldiers from the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces have established a new national record in Dnipro. They placed the largest maroon beret ever made in Ukraine, measuring an impressive 1.07 meters in diameter, atop the tallest monument to Taras Shevchenko in the country. This 20-meter-high monument, located on Monastyrskyi Island, was officially recognized by an expert from the National Register of Records of Ukraine. The event took place with the support of Dnipro’s city administration in celebration of the city's founding day.

A Powerful Emblem of Unity and Valor

As the tallest Shevchenko statue worldwide, the monument’s proportions were carefully matched by the paratroopers to ensure the oversized beret fit perfectly. According to the military personnel involved,

“all proportions were maintained flawlessly.”

Dnipro’s Deputy Mayor, Andriy Denysenko, expressed his gratitude to the airborne troops, highlighting that

“Dnipro has become a vital stronghold, the largest humanitarian and medical hub, and a true refuge for our corps’ units.”

He further emphasized, “The Shevchenko monument here is the tallest globally. Today, our paratroopers have doubled that distinction by placing the largest beret ever crafted and worn anywhere in the world. We thank our troops not only for this extraordinary gesture but most importantly for holding the frontline and defending the eastern gateway of our region.” This milestone embodies the spirit of solidarity and courage, reflecting Dnipro’s steadfast role as a resilient support base since the full-scale invasion began.
