New Armored Evacuation Vehicles Delivered to Military Medics

This batch is part of a wider procurement effort that has delivered 30 such vehicles in total this year. Medical Procurement Ukraine carried out the purchase on commission from Ukraine's Ministry of Health. The vehicles are designed to evacuate wounded personnel from high-risk zones-an increasingly vital mission in today's combat environment. UNITED24 is Ukraine's official fundraising platform that gathers global donations to support defense and related needs.

Key Technical Features of the Armored Evacuation Vehicles

The armored vehicles comply with NATO STANAG 4569 Level 2L standards, offering protection against mine blasts, artillery shell fragments, and armor-piercing incendiary bullets. A door-seam overlapping system blocks bullets from entering the cabin through gaps between doors, boosting safety for both medics and patients. Each vehicle features all-wheel drive and a medical bay that holds two healthcare workers and up to three wounded soldiers simultaneously.

Additionally, the vehicles come equipped with:

• night vision systems;
• 360-degree camera coverage;
• armored windows;
• run-flat tires;
• audio communication between the driver's cab and the medical bay.

Inside, mounting points are provided for essential medical equipment and satellite communication tools, allowing the crews to carry out medical escort duties effectively.

It is worth remembering that in 2022, UNITED24 funded the purchase of 13 armored vehicles, which were transferred to military medics in 2023 and are still being used for casualty evacuation. This ongoing effort enhances medical support on the front lines and raises the chances of saving service members' lives.

The arrival of these new armored vehicles is a significant step in improving medical support for troops during active combat. With modern technology and high-level protection, these evacuation vehicles not only reduce risks for medics and the wounded but also make battlefield medical operations far more effective. This demonstrates Ukraine's determination to provide its soldiers with life-saving equipment in extremely difficult conditions.
