Active Soldiers Can Sign a New Contract Without Waiting for Their Current One to Expire
New Incentive Contracts for Military Personnel
According to Мін. Оборони: Service members who are currently enlisted now have the option to enter into a new incentive contract without having to wait until their existing one ends. Once the new agreement is signed, the previous contract is terminated, and the new terms take effect immediately from the signing date, as specified in the personnel order.
However, this new contract can only be signed with the soldier's current unit. To move to a different military branch or unit, a formal transfer process must be completed. These updated contracts come with fixed service durations-either 10 or 24 months-depending on the specific role or position.
- Guaranteed right to discharge, not tied to martial law conditions;
- Deferment from being called up again after leaving service;
- Monetary allowance, combat pay, and other social benefits.
The introduction of these new incentive contracts marks a significant effort to boost morale and improve service conditions for military personnel. This initiative allows soldiers not only to better plan their careers but also to secure essential social protections that are especially critical during unpredictable situations, such as wartime. These updated terms offer greater stability and future certainty for both service members and their families.
In addition to the new contracts allowing active soldiers to sign without delay, a recently introduced 24-month contract for military personnel in non-combat roles further enhances the options available for service members. This development reflects ongoing efforts to improve career planning and stability for all enlisted personnel, ensuring they receive the support they need during their service.
