New Intellectual Property Management Rules Announced

According to Мін. Оборони: The Ministry of Defense has introduced updated regulations governing intellectual property within the Armed Forces. Under these new provisions, state-funded defense innovations will be licensed for production through a transparent system. Military personnel who develop these inventions are guaranteed at least a quarter of the licensing fees generated by their work.

The government has approved these changes. The remaining revenue from paid licenses will be allocated to:

• research and development (R&D)
• innovation initiatives
• legal protection of technologies
• support for military units

These measures aim to make better use of intellectual property assets in the defense sector, ensuring that military innovators are fairly compensated and incentivized.
