MP Tishchenko beaten at karate tournament: details of the scandalous incident
According to glavcom.ua: Mykola Tishchenko's participation in the Kyokushin karate tournament "Fighters of the Nation 2" ended in scandal. During his performance, the half-room was filled with shouts of "Boo, what is this?" which alarmed the participants of the event. To the outrage of Roman Kryvytskyi, the head of the Kyiv karate federation, he expressed his opinion: "Is this the image of the federation? You take a person who is as scandalous as possible, bring them to the stage, and give them the floor."
Moreover, there was an attack on former special forces fighter Dmytro "Syn" Pavlov. People in military uniforms and balaclavas beat the man, even while his wife and child were nearby, and put handcuffs on him. Additionally, one of the attackers searched Pavlov's bag. Two criminal proceedings have been opened regarding these events, and Mykola Tishchenko has been suspected of illegal deprivation of liberty of the former serviceman.
The situation at the tournament and the attack on the fighter indicate an escalation of conflicts and have caused outrage among the public and representatives of sports organizations.
