Military personnel and families of the deceased will receive compensation for unused vacation

According to hvylya.net: Ukrainian servicemen can now receive compensation for unused vacations, reports 'Hvylya' referring to the Coordination Center for the provision of free legal aid.

According to Article 10-1 of the law on the protection of servicemen and their families, military personnel who have not taken vacations are entitled to monetary compensation. Similar payments are also provided to the families of deceased military personnel.

The payment covers various types of vacations, including regular annual leave, special leave for parents, and privileged leave for participants in military operations and those affected during the Revolution of Dignity.

The amount of compensation depends on the income of the serviceman, including salary, allowances, and bonuses. To receive the payment, the serviceman must submit a report to the military unit and provide all the necessary information.

In the event of the serviceman's death, compensation is received by their relatives according to the law or, in the absence of such, persons designated in the decree.

To receive compensation, relatives must contact the personnel service with mandatory documents such as an application, passport, death certificate, and other documents confirming family ties.

Legal support for servicemen regarding unused vacations has become more accessible due to the possibility of receiving compensation, which depends on the type of vacation and the income of the serviceman. Families of deceased military personnel also have the opportunity to obtain corresponding compensation for unused vacations, providing an additional level of support in this difficult situation.
