A service member has the opportunity to initiate the VLC process in case of a deterioration in health. This is important as the recovery time for organ and system functions after injuries usually ranges from 6 to 12 months. In cases where a service member is deemed unfit for service, they are discharged from the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a certificate of illness. This ensures proper administrative support regarding health matters for service members and their professional activities.
